Celebrating Our Mothers, Maidens and Crones and The Goddess in each of us
The women of Ozark Avalon are presenting A Triple Goddess Gathering on the weekend of April 13- 15, 2007. This is a seriously fun retreat for Women interested in Goddess Worship as a Path to personal development. We also welcome maidens 10 years and over who are attending with their mothers as well as any age mothers and daughters who wish to share this special time together. No male children allowed except babes in arms.
We will be exploring the three faces of the Goddess and Women's Spiritual Development, Sacred Sisterhood and Community. Please plan to share your time and talents in our women’s space. Bring drums, writing, songs and any other art that you wish to share. There is no additional charge for vending. Plan to work and play together with other women on the tasks of festival. If you have a workshop idea please e-mail it to rosewise@starband.net so that we can plan an enriching program.
Ozark Avalon is a 160 acre sacred land with a rustic retreat center, mobile homes and level camping areas. We provide bunkhouse rooms with beds and bedding for those not choosing to camp. There are indoor bathrooms as well the frog bog outdoor shower house and art gallery. Meals are included and we will prepare them together but tell us if you have special diet needs. Our registration costs are very low to allow more women to participate but we always appreciate donations of food or funds. Ozark Avalon is a federally recognized non-profit church of nature and donations may be tax deductible. Our mission is to provide outdoor worship space for all earth honoring persons. Registration Information
Registration fees are $50 in advance or $60 at the gate. Women who can are encouraged to donate to a fund for women who can't afford to attend. Donations of food for the OA kitchen are also welcome. No woman will be denied sorely due to inability to pay the registration fee. Maidens under 17 are free with mother or guardian. Mothers can bring their daughters of any age get a half price registration for the one of the two. Retreat center sleeping space will be available to those who do not wish to camp. Each participant is expected to contribute to the work of the community. We will need help cooking and cleaning, ritual set up and with registration. This may entail a specific project or 2 hours shift. The men of Ozark Avalon will once again be sharing a camping experience on near-by land and welcome additional male company, particularly if it will enable more women to attend the Goddess Gathering.
